More Details
This course for 4th graders is designed to improve their current reading and writing skills by increasing their amount of reading and writing while paying closer attention to the quality of their ELA skills. As they continue to identify different words, read with fluency, understand the meaning of the text, students will be led to focus on deeper meanings by inferring, identifying the mult-purpose of the text, using context clues to expand their vocabulary and utilize these skills in their own writing as well. Instead of writing with the basic level of English, students will try new strategies by starting with organizing their writing, using various transition words and connectors, writing explanatory and informative statements, and etc.
